Wenford attended a day of Mock Interviews at Ruislip High School on Thursday 14th July 2016.
A group of approximately 20-25 volunteers took part in the event which was aimed at providing the school’s Year 10 students with a realistic experience of speaking about themselves and their ambitions prior to their college and apprenticeship interviews in the autumn term. The volunteers also reviewed each student’s CV and provided them with constructive feedback.
Wenford was delighted to represent SeaVision as an assessor at the London Go4Set Celebration and Assessment day on July 1, 2016, arranged by Go4Set South East and hosted by University of Westminster.
The day was the culmination of the programme where terms of students display their projects, present and talk about their experiences to a number of professionals/assessors.
The students had a number of different projects to choose from. Wenford assessed projects from the groups “My School is an Island” and “Create Sport”.
It was an amazing day and we were blown away by the group presentations, the knowledge and the work carried out to complete the projects.
The overall standard of the projects was really high, both in terms of presentation, knowledge and written work. The other assessors and I often had to remind ourselves that the students were 12-13 years old! Well done to everyone who too part in the day.
